Last night we had a night game session with Daxx. I actually almost missed my train to the venue because I was having sex with a lovely girl right up until the last possible moment! I ran to the train! Got there eventually and met Daxx - really nice guy, very friendly and 'one of the lads'. When we had rounded up all the Rockstars, he launched into a theory session about key beliefs to build into your life when meeting women (and socialising in general). His preparation was obviously very thorough, really great insights.

Slight problem...no sets in the bar. No really. Later in the evening, three different sets trickled in. Starlight opened a seated two-set and lasted as long as his Spanish language skills did (impressive!), Prizefighter opened another two-set as they sat down near us, with Optimistic winging well. Daxx opened a four set of hot girls who ended up being the worst set in the history of sets (totally not Daxx's fault!) - they really really didn't want to be opened, half of them were married with kids and they basically hated on Daxx before he could open his mouth! This guy has got super tight game though, so he stuck in there and before long had them laughing, had his arm around one girl etc... Starlight went in to wing, and they ejected soon after (can't blame them).

Time to move on. Daxx took Starlight and Blackswan to Chinawhite I hear they had a blast! I headed out with Paladin to a bar we both frequent in search of warm bodies to sarge. I've got to admit, I was disappointed by the lack of sets at our first location - it was a rainy Wednesday and it felt like all of London was empty...but I'm not a guy to sit around waiting for things, to happen, I was going to do my best to make something happen!

Paladin and I rocked up at the bar and he was immediately pounced on by a girl in his social circle. I headed on to the bar, got myself a drink and just started chatting. There were really no sets here either, but a quick walk-around revealed a two set. I opened them, locked in and started vibing with them. Moved them around as-per 5.0's advice, started kino etc...

Incoming text: 'Dude where are you?' - from Paladin. I reply, 'By the bar, wing me'. In the nick of time, Paladin arrived and immediately occupied the obstacle. I took the opportunity to run 5.0's stripped down version of the cube on my target...it hit.

An interrupt - massive guy and 'the birthday girl' bounce in. I'm introduced, I spin the birthday girl, spank, kiss on the cheek etc...and 'Hey, have you met my friend Paladin?'. Talk about unleash the best!

He spun her and started doing super fast kino escalation - it was actually scandalous! A few days ago, I had said to Paladin that I was looking forward to checking out his legendary super-fast kino escalation (he's got some great stories about this!) and he gave a great demo. Of course, I had to match his energy levels to stay in set so I basically copied him with my girl - they loved it! (the big guy didn't love it so much)

Paladin drags his girl off to the dance floor and I turn to the remaining set, 'Hey, I'm gonna borrow your friend for a minute, we'll be up there, we'll be back in a mo etc...' And I led my target outside - ran some comfort stuff, tried out the 'almost kiss close' (thanks Mr.M) and ramped up the sexual tension. Then, 'trying to hard not to kiss you right now...' blah blah...makeout.

HER:'OMG, I don't even know your name!'
ME: 'Haha, guess.'
HER: 'Give me a letter.'
ME: 'Okay okay...for every wrong guess, you get to kiss me.'
HER:(totally loving this idea) 'Ok! Um...'

She proceeded to guess some (intentionally) wrong names, much kissing. Then I start feeding her even more bizarre names, 'Try #'...more kissing. I get two major interrupts - random dudes coming up and high-fiving me and asking me 'do you have a lighter' questions...very odd. Sent them on their way easily enough. After a while we went back inside.

Practicing isolating, so we vibed with the birthday party a bit and then isolated her again - comfort conversation spiced with some kino, kissing etc...Number closed, tried for extraction (no go logistics) so set up a Day2. Returned to birthday party.

PALADIN with girl: 'Dude take a picture!'
I turn camera on myself and pose: 'Okay, only one though, I'm tired.' (thanks 5.0!)

Then I handed the camera to the big guy in the group who took a picture but didn't take enough for Paladin to escalate to a kiss picture - dropped the ball a bit here, sorry dude! Meanwhile, a random guy offers to take pictures of me and my target with my phone...we do one crazy, one sexy and one kissing.

Anyway, this field report is getting way too long...soon after, we bounced from the venue and wandered homeward.

Summary: Great night in the end. Daxx had very insightful things to say, really looking forward to hanging out with him when there are sets around - his whole vibe lifted the group. The second venue with Paladin was lots of fun. I think the main takeaways I got from his kino demo are: come in high-energy and have an strong 'party/funny' frame. We had a lot of fun, Paladin's a great guy to wing with - actually the first guy I've ever sarged with who has game!

Overall, a good day.

Keychain

Day 4b - Keychain

A quick add-on. Already been putting some SCM principles into practice from the introductory lecture. Each Rockstar chooses a hobby or skill and uses SCM to climb the social tree associated with their chosen area of focus.

On Monday night I found myself in the middle of my focus-tree with access to high value people. I used sticky phases as Mr.M touched on - short, respect-building interactions with high value people to build a platform for the relationship to stand on. No clinging, no neediness, assuming an equal frame in the initial stages (rather than supplicating) - I will be using my nights off to further this social tree (which means I'll be out seven nights a week, but definately worth it). Very very excited about this.

The SCM material really floats my boat, it totally clicks with the way my brain works...love it.

Keychain

Day 4 - Keychain

Yesterday was night game with 5.0...so much fun :-) 5.0 was fantastic, he worked very had in his teaching time - constantly giving everyone really good feedback as well as talking about wider theory issues and example routines.

He tightened up my opener delivery (which helped loads), encouraged me to kino and move the girl to isolate her much more quickly. By the end of the night I think we're all clear that we need to ramp up the kino escalation and start heating things up in set much more quickly.

If you read my last post, you'll know I wanted to experiment with different openers. With the large number of sets we were opening, I had ample opportunity. I tried my usual opinion opener, direct openers, functional openers - I probably used four or five different openers and learned a huge amount about that phase in general.

The Rockstars were really fun to be out with - there were some comedy blowout moments and crossed wires...but there were five of us and its the first time we've been out together. In a few nights' time, we'll be working much better as a team and the winging will be much smoother. Watch out london ;-)

Great to meet some other PUAs out and about - Dr.Yen was there, Virgo from LSS was being super friendly and helpful (great game too!). There was a nice team vibe going on which I'm sure will only get stronger as the nights pass.

I'm writing this field report...but I just want to get back out there. I think a lot of this stuff will be worked out naturally in-field. After last night, I'm still buzzing and want to get back out there and hit my sticking points again, smooth out my game with the guys.

On the way to the bar, I received a text from Mr.M that really resonated with me and set the tone for the night: 'Have a blast, do your best, change your life!'

Keychain

Day 3 - Keychain

It's day 3, and I'm writing this the morning before our first night-game session with 5.0. I'm sitting here going over my notes on Mr.M's Opening lecture and reviewing the openers I've used in the past...to mix things up a bit, I really want to try a couple of functional openers like the kind Mr.M discussed, rather than fall back on my own opinion openers (which follow the standard community structure but with my own material swapped in).

I'm a little apprehensive about the session tonight, most of the other Rockstars have been on a bootcamp before (one of them has even helped out on bootcamps!). I've run game lots and I love being social and meeting new people, but I've never done any of that under the watchful eye of an instructor like 5.0! Suffice to say, I'm expecting quite a steep learning curve.

But that's what we're all here for. I'm apprehensive yes, but I'm excited in equal measure. And I look ahead over the next week and realise that we'll be going out every single night - tonight, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday...and then the same thing for seven more weeks, all with top instructor input. The true scope of this project, and what we might learn, is only gradually sinking in for me...

Keychain

Rockstar... Day 2

London Hunk is a winner.

He oozes confidence. He is very successful for his 23 years and i will love to see his empire in another 23. He taught us the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and the benefits it brings. I didn't get much of a chance to chat with him on day 1 so it was good to learn his background and speak in a small group. He invited us to his office where we tailored a program for our individual needs. He has input a hell of a lot into this program. If the 6 of us were to pay for this service alone it would surely run into the thousands.

I thought i knew a lot about health and fitness anyway so thought today was going to be one of the lesser learning days for me. How wrong i was...It's made me realise how much i am actually going to change. Because one my stronger traits, health and fitness, still has sooo much potential to improve on. This is going to be one hell of a ride..

Day 3 is going to be our first in-field excercise with 5.0 who is one of the instructors i clicked with immediately.

Stay tuned....

Prize-fighter

P.s. We travelled from across London to the office of London Hulk, the man in charge of our physical fitness and diet, as well as our Friday night instructor.

In two hours we had a very detailed lecture on the exercise, diet and lifestyle choices we would be making to meet each of our fitness goals. In a few days time, we will have personalised programmes to see us through the eight weeks. There were no bones made about the effort and hard work it would take - we have to enter everything we eat and drink into a food diary, with measurements so that London Hulk can monitor our progress and adjust our regimes. This guy knows his stuff.

Top three London Hulk quotes:

'Yes, the first time you work out with me you will probably throw up.'

PALADIN: 'Why doesn't Keychain have a sixpack if he's only got 8% body fat?'
KEYCHAIN: 'I'm just keeping it secret because I don't want to scare you all.'
LONDON HULK: 'No, it's because he has no muscles.'
KEYCHAIN: <pauses...nods> 'Yes, and that.'

TO PALADIN: 'Put your clothes back on for God's sake.'

Really looking forward to our first Friday session with London Hulk, we had a great chat on the first meet-and-greet and I think his natural style of game is going to be super useful to learn...Roll on Project Rockstar!

Keychain

Project Rockstar... Day 1

As the other rockstars have posted a lot of the content and details i'm just going to add my personal experience:-

Going to the interviews a few weeks ago was a strange experience. I replied to an advert on the forum, sending details of myself and a photo by e-mail. I got a reply asking to come to an interview with an address and time. So, a week later i find myself standing outside a doorway in a back alley in london. I tap on the door. No answer. I wait. I tap again. Still no answer.I start thinking to myself this is a set up.

Maybe i watch too many horror films?

The door opens, i'm guided in and the interview starts. Now you have to remember, these guys are masters at reading people... thin-slicing, body-language etc etc. So you have to understand the pressure i was feeling. I come away thinking i was summed up too quickly and i felt i didn't do enough. This, it turns out, was not actually a bad thing. I got accepted into what is the next level in this community. A few weeks of polishing up on reading material and the project started.

The hand selected instructors are all great in their specific areas as the other rockstars have already posted. And, project aside, are all great guys. It was great to get to know them a bit better individually. They are giving us all a lot of their time and knowledge and for that we are all extremely grateful. I feel that yesterday they all earnt our respect and trust. We are letting them change/mould/improve us so it was important for us to trust them. And that i can honestly say we now do.As this was a new concept before yesterday we didn't really know the depth of this and what to expect. We only had a rough idea of what we were letting ourselves in for. We have now seen the syllabus and the structure of the project and believe me, its awesome.

One highlight of the day was Dr Yen's 3 second threesome close. When we went for a quick beer, Dr yen opened a set IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD!!! lol He nearly successfully closed aswell. Finally, a quick thanks Mr M for the theory lecture. You are very good at what you do and made it very easy for us to understand.I'll be posting again very soon to let you guys know what you are missing!!! Until then...

Project Rockstar: Day 1` - Starlight

Project Rockstar

Starlight – Day 1

So this is it, Project Rockstar has kicked off! Fresh off the plane from Stockholm with nary two hours of sleep curled up on Ryanair’s supremely uncomfortable seats I made it through the cursory interrogation at British customs (no return ticket, 2 nights of lodging booked for an 8 week stay and bloodshot eyes) and headed towards Liverpool Street to meet the crew of Rockstars for lunch before meeting up with the instructors at Mr M’s pad. I got a good vibe from each of the four others, two London locals, one LA transplant, a Scotsman and citizen of the world Starlight. All of eyes gleaming with the knowing enthusiasm that accompanies the outset of new adventures. Trekking through the London rain/fog…and finally in Mr M’s place with Soul, 5.0, Dr Yen, London Hunk, and more instructors. What can I say? This is it. This is the beginning of a truly transformational adventure, one that we’ll look back on in 8 weeks with new eyes, new ideas, a new image, perhaps a new wardrobe…and a hundred of the most beautiful girls in London flashing through our minds and beeping our phones;-)

Mr M went through the outline for the next 8 weeks…We get an hour of instruction each night of the week (except Monday) on Day Game, Night Game, Direct Game, Social Circle Mastery…not to mention physical training, style consulting, personal mentoring. Mr M and the crew have seriously put some time into planning Project Rockstar. We all grabbed a beer down the street then hit the ground running with a Social Circle Mastery theory lesson.

The thing I love about the game is how it draws on so many contributors, unbeknownst to them in some cases, like Napoleon Hill and Tony Robbins, but views their teachings through the filter of attraction; contextualizing knowledge with legitimate value into a package that any dude in his mid-twenties relishes diving into like a kid on Christmas day.

Here are some of the concepts:

Thin slicing – credit to Malcom Gladwell’s “Blink” for detailing this skill. Thin slicing is a way to tap into one’s intuition and leverage years of accumulated knowledge and experience to realize a very accurate first impression that can be acted on with faith. We all thin slice. Mr M and I met three weeks ago. The comment that stuck in my mind “I’m having trouble thin-slicing you”. It caught me off guard and I played with the thought afterwards…it’s true though, something I’ve always done, mostly unconsciously, is to be a social enigma. To defy classification at first encounter. It’s fun to keep surprising people with new character traits, commonalities and accumulated knowledge through the course of developing a relationship…so why give away the farm at the outset.

Reticular Activation System – This is our tendency to gravitate towards value. It is the flicker of my eyes away from my friend when a hot girl walks past. It is the urge to break free from a conversation when the excitement wanes. It is the intense focus and tuning out of the rest of the world when someone has legitimate value for us and we are enamored with each word that pours forth from from their lips

Independent Value vs. Relationship Value – The former is the value that an individual has for us independent of their social circle or affiliations, such as two prestigious guitarists meeting for the first time. The latter describes the possibilities available to us through continuing interactions and introductions to others in their social circle. This is my initial understanding of the concepts…I’ll be writing a lot about these in the near future.

The inter-relationship of these three elements are foundational to our feelings towards others and the way these feelings change over time as interests change, social circles contract and expand, and our own prerogatives shift.

After an exciting couple of hours of theory with Mr M, we all chilled out and had a beer then filmed a short interview segment. I am am f*&%ing washed from lack of sleep but am still bubbling with the chemical cocktail released from deep within my medulla oblongata (or is it pituitary glands??) as I look forward to augmenting every aspect of my life for 8 weeks with these pros and students alike.

One of the coolest parts of Project Rockstar is the obligatory focus on developing social circles around interests and passions. For the last 5 weeks I have been traveling Europe with a buddy…working on a pub crawl in Rome, clubbing in Barcelona, enjoying everything Amsterdam has to offer, and most recently partying in the City of Eternal Light Stockholm where the sun sets at midnight and rises at 3:00am. I wouldn’t trade the experience for the world, and at the same time, without my computer or keyboard I’ve been at a loss to let the creative juices inside me flow free and manifest new works of creativity. Thus, I am fairly resolved that I will focus the personal interest time of Project Rockstar on:

1. Already our commitment was being tested as we faced off against the Wethespoons menu with no time to spare...the food arrived, we hit it hard. We were all awed by BlackSwan's amazing 120 second curry-close.

Then we braved the elements (rain) to get to Mr M's place and meet the instructors for Project Rockstar. Mr M introduced us to London Soul, Dr Yen, London_Hunk, Sasha and 5.0, with Vercetti and Daxx soon to be joining us. What a cast! With hugely diverse specialities and interests, these guys look set to seriously rewire the way we think about game, social dynamics and life in general. After a trip to the pub, we reconveined at Mr M's place for our first session of theory.

From an overview/foundation perspective Mr M talked about the dynamics of relationships, how relationships are formed and maintained, value exchanges, first impressions, social trees, social life structure, opening...so much information and, between my ninja-note-taking, all I could think was this totally makes sense and I can't believe this is the OVERVIEW session!

Mr M talks fast, and almost every sentence is ridiculously packed full of information. I found myself furiously scribbling down entire sentences as my brain was pummelled with insight. To mix my metaphors there were light bulbs, ahas, pennies dropping, wool-from-eye-liftings...this guy's knowledge is really deep.

Here's a random sample of some of the nuggets that just floored me:

Independent Value + Relationship Value = Returning Relationship Value.

A person's current value to you influences how you view their past actions.

The value of a social tree depends on its access to scarce social resources.

Don't be afraid to re-invent yourself towards the things that you value.

There were tangents about mutually beneficial leadership styles, example anecdotes, the influence of one's core group. In two hours Mr M just blew the lid off Social Circle Mastery and set the tone for the rest of the programme.

We're going to learn from the instructors, from the field and from each other...

Paladin (a friend of the Rockstar coaches), Optimistic and I left the session for the tube station and within minutes Paladin had Optimistic running down the street to Daygame a passing girl! He then took 30 seconds to teach me a direct daygame opener (ala Soul) and immediately pointed out a passing girl. I've never done direct daygame before so...in I went. Ran the opener and she opened! About five minutes later, I number closed her. Might post y'all a field report on this in tomorrow's blog if you're nice ;)

Anyway, one day in and it's already full steam ahead...

Keychain
